Ähtäri Zoo is home to around 50 different animal species and nearly 200 individual animals. Our work focuses particularly on the conservation of endangered species from the northern boreal forest zone. The animals in the zoo are mostly adapted to conditions like Finland’s climate, allowing us to provide them with as natural living environments as possible. Come and meet our diverse species, from the tiny Eurasian harvest mouse to the over half-ton European bison!
Ähtäri Zoo’s exact address is Karhunkierros 150, 63920 Ähtäri
