Ähtäri Zoo's own hotel is located just across the road from the zoo's main entrance. The hotel has 101 rooms, a spa, restaurant, bowling alley, and a bar. Mesikämmen is known for its unique architecture and the natural rock surrounding the interiors.

Ähtäri Zoo Camping is located within a walking distance from Hotel Mesikämmen and the Zoo, next to a beautiful lake. There are 15 cabins that are for all year round use, 25 cabins for summer use only, and 100 RV spots (80 with electricity). The camping has its own minimarket, beach, sauna and minigolf.
